Happy Monday!

Mondays, love 'em or hate 'em......it's here. Poor Monday has an awful job, doesn't it? It's that coworker that nobody likes. Everybody wants to be Friday's friend. Friday is always fun. Field Day is on Friday, Dress Down Day, Friday Funday.....etc. So, to brighten up Monday, how about a quick garden tour.

My garden is just a bit behind, we have our own little microclimate going on. Yes, we are that house in the winter that still has snow. It's a bit comical at times. We are still sledding while the neighbors are raking, mowing and having pool parties. Ok, maybe not that bad. You get the idea though.

This is one of my favorite iris. I love the color, it has a hint of blue.

This next one is a favorite too. I splurged and bought a collection of iris with some birthday money one year from the ritzy garden center. It's the one that you overhear conversations of "I'll have my gardener come back and get this for me. It's just simply divine". Oh, ok. Yeah, me too. Iris are one of my favorite flowers, my lovely deer friends that visit do not eat them. Hopefully, this year I can share some daylily photos. Those apparently are quite delectable.

.....and one more.

I hope you make the most of your Monday. Embrace it. It's not so bad. We'll see if I'm still saying that by the end of the day.....

  1. Beautiful iris! It's a flower I've seen ever since I was little but didn't appreciate its beauty until I was older. Thanks for sharing.

  3. Your Iris' are gorgeous! We moved into a home a few years ago and it has taken me 3 different areas to find the right spot for both my Iris and Day Lillies. It was worth the bad locations to learn more about each flower and to see them in their beauty this year.
